We believe in excellence and promotion is one of those areas that needs to be done well. We have pre-prepared artwork available for you to use should you wish. We do need to know how we are being promoted as some people, in past times, have taken advantage of  our background and the fact that I have been involved in a large and well known church. Leading Edge has certain policies regarding the promotion of any ministry undertaken. To receive a copy of our policy statement please let us know on the contact here and we will be pleased to send you a copy of this policy along with our special bookings information pack.

Here are some great ideas that you can use in order to promote your event:

Over the years, we have conducted many events, concerts and seminars and overall have seen a large number of people attend these events. Here are some ideas and strategies that work well all over the world.

  1. Optimal timing: Many events fail to reach their potential because the organizers leave promotion to the last minute. We recommend that you start a certain level of promotion early and then ramp this up towards your event. For example, if you are hosting a yearly conference the best time to get registrations for the following year is at this year’s conference. Initial promo material should be produced as a teaser or for pre-registration.
  2. Sell tickets: Selling tickets will allow you to know how many people are coming to your event. A common misconception is that you will be charging for the gospel. You are not charging for the gospel… you are charging for the venue, production, travel and other organizational expenses. See the LEM Event Planner for more information on recommended ticket prices.
  3. Ticket Sales Strategies:
    1. Provide a ticket sales booth in your church foyer. Visual displays and enthusiastic and knowledgeable ticket sales personnel really add to the effectiveness of this strategy.
    2. Provide online ticket sales.
    3. Sell tickets in your small groups.
    4. Provide a ticket sales pack and promotional material for other churches. A follow up call to each of the churches to make sure they have received the pack is usually a good idea.
    5. Follow up on ticket sales in these churches.
    6. Mail out promotional material to all your contacts and church members.
    7. Expect your leaders to attend and assist with the event. The people will only do what they see the leadership doing.
    8. Provide Leaders with information so that they can personally invite people in their small groups.
    9. Send email and text promotions closer to the time of the event.
    10. Register your event on facebook or twitter.
  • Leading Edge International can sell tickets for your event on its website.
  • Leading Edge can provide you with concert and seminar promotional material. We have templates for different types of events and all we require is the information regarding your venue, times etc. This template will be returned to you so that you can print and distribute locally.

It should be noted that the most important promotion is that given by the Senior Pastor from the pulpit. The event should be mentioned as much as possible during church services and always from a positive perspective. Remember if you are excited about it then your people will be excited about it. It is important that you should never apologize for selling tickets, but place value on the ticket sales by letting people know how much they will get out of the event personally. Telling your congregation why you are hosting the event really helps to connect people and creates desire rather than turning it into a rule or a law that they should be there…
